Sales Training

Direct Sales

Direct sales encompasses many things including Network Marketing.  I am a firm believer that just as you need to get a degree in the profession of your choice, you need to do the same in direct sales.

The big difference is that currently there is no *Accredited school out there for the Network marketing industry.  Having said that, there is one individual that I have learned from personally who has trained literally thousands of people to learn how to do this with integrity, honesty and credibility.

His name is Jeff Zalewski, he is the founder of the Direct Selling Academy and while his focus is teaching, he has been in this industry quietly building large Sales organizations in various endeavors and teaching others to do the same to prove what he teaches works. Some of his past students include Ann Sieg, Wendy Mills, Curt Johnson, Cammy Stubbs, Kagwiria Makhulo, myself and many others.

There will be many facets to your educational process.  Some people come into the industry with MBA's in sales & marketing and have difficulty applying that education in Network Marketing.  I believe you will save yourself an enormous amount of frustration finding out just where your skill set is and then filling in the gaps.

A word of caution.  While I do believe it is crucial to work on educating yourself, if you don't put it into practice in the field, well its the equivalent of being a professional student.  You simply cannot learn everything before implementing some action because you don't know what else you may need to learn unless you run into the challenges along the way in your implementation.

One of the things Jeff is making available to the industry are some evaluation as well as self education products.  I would highly encourage you to take a look at the training he has available at a very reasonable cost.  You can view his products by going to  Direct Selling Academy and clicking on "Self Help Products"

Jeff also offers on a very limited basis one on one coaching.  Jeff built an organization of over 800 with 73 consecutive months of sponsoring 10+ people a month.  He is a certified Training Consultant and Success Coach.  If you are interested in finding out more please email me directly for details.

The Works Team.  The Works Team has been helping the Network Marketing industry since 2002.  It started with a small group of Leaders including Curt Johnson, Ann Sieg, Wendy Mills, and, Cammy Stubbs  whose goal is to teach those in Network Marketing HOW to understand the sales process and to not only prospect effectively but to teach what tools are needed and how to use them.

Today the group has grown to thousands and gives each person who would like to participate in this training a means to do so at no cost.  I have been a part of this team for over a year and find that the highest caliber of people in the industry are indeed here.

If you would like to participate or find out more you can go to The Works Team website.  Access to the members area of the site is by invitation but I am happy to give you that information.

Financial & Legal

MLM TaxHelper - I have been in the accounting industry for over 20 years and the reason I love it so much is that you don't have to have ANY accounting experience at all and it is made for people in Network / Internet / Affiliate Marketing. Glen Huels is constantly making improvements to the program and if you have trouble he personally answers your emails. It has a demo and is downloadable. On a personal note, In 2006 alone I went from owing taxes to getting a refund of over 1,000.00 just by running the reports and taking them to my accountant. Not bad for a 49.00 investment! (Its also in the back end of the Renegade)

Ron Mueller, Tax Advisor - I just love Ron.  He is always putting on webinars for free about tax issues and what to do or avoid and he makes them timely so they are there just when tax season starts rolling around.  His book is excellent and you can use the tax savings tips even if you don't have a DBA, Sole Proprietorship, or other "legal" entity set up for your business.

Internet Law Compliance - Depending on the type of website you have and what you are doing you want to make sure you are protected.  This package provides you with more than just website security but also email do's & don'ts as per the Can SPAM Act of 2003.

Software

Roboform is a funny little program I ran across about 5 years ago and has saved my life many times over.  It saves your passwords and identities.  It is free and the only limitation is 100 passwords.  If you think you will go over that the one time cost of less than $30.00 is fair.  It can save multiple passwords for the same site as well as generating "hacker unfriendly" passwords too.

Get Response -This is an online autoresponder program.  While the effectiveness of email marketing is somewhat in question it is one of the big time savers once you have a team of people you need to reach to get them information.  You are also protected Legally against spam complaints by the company you are using if you do not violate spamming laws.  There are several other autoresponders out there and they seem to be about the same in price 15.00-20.00 per month with more or less the same features and ease of use.  If you are effectively building your list you cannot be without and autoresponder.

ACT - Contact Management Software. You MUST have a way to organize, contact, and follow up with your prospects and your customers.  In the beginning you may not have many but it can snowball quickly, especially if you are prospecting as you should.  If you are on a limited budget you can do a Google search and go with a much less expensive version like 6.0.  One word of caution with version 7.0  it takes a huge amount of memory but if that is not an issue for you I find the versatility is worth the price. If you have an older computer go with the 6.0.  Also ACT is not compatible at this time with Windows Vista or MAC.
